Better well-being
When you work near nature or in an environment you like, stress levels are reduced, mood improves and creativity increases.
Flexibility and adaptability
Outdoor offices can be used not only for work, but also for creative activities, meetings or even relaxation.
Energy saving and comfort
Many garden offices are modular, made of sustainable materials, have good insulation and can be equipped with solar panels or other energy-saving systems. Outdoor offices can be built in just a few weeks, which is much faster than traditional construction.
How to choose the right garden office?
When choosing a modular office project, it is important to consider several key aspects that will ensure comfort, functionality and long-term convenience.
Purpose and area
If you want an office only for work, 10-15 m2 will be enough
If you need space for meetings or additional equipment, you should choose an option of 20 m2 or larger.
Consider the possibility of expanding the space in the future if your needs change.
Insulation and climate control
For a modular office to be suitable for all seasons, it is important:
High-quality wall and floor insulation, which will protect against cold in winter and heat in summer.
Heating and ventilation system – you can choose various options according to your needs. Electric radiators, heat pumps, underfloor heating, gas or solid fuel boilers can be used.
Materials and construction
Wooden offices provide coziness and naturalness
Metal or composite structures are more durable and require less maintenance.
Resistance to moisture and weathering will ensure durability.
Location selection
Choose a quiet, quiet location with minimal noise, but if you don’t have one, you can always install higher-standard soundproofing solutions as needed.
Make sure the plot is suitable for foundation preparation and has easy access to electricity and internet supply if necessary.
Budget
Outdoor office prices range from 5,000 to 30,000 euros, depending on size and materials. It is important to evaluate not only the structure itself, but also additional costs – foundation preparation, electrical wiring, heating systems and furniture.
Outdoor office construction process
The construction of such a building is faster and simpler than a traditional building, but it is important to properly plan all construction processes:
Design. After determining the need, project drawings with a 3D layout are created.
Site preparation. At this point, the regulations for preparing the required site are determined and it is possible to choose whether the client will prepare the site himself or entrust the preparation work to a professional company for an additional fee.
Construction production and preparation. Modular offices are usually manufactured in production facilities and delivered to the site in parts for installation. The structure is assembled from wood, metal, sheet metal or composite materials as needed. Later, walls, floors and roof are installed. Proper insulation from cold and moisture is ensured. Also, if necessary, structures can be assembled not in production facilities, but at the construction site. The entire process is discussed with the client after clarifying the need, because the best solution is applied to different needs.
Installation of engineering systems. An electrical system, heating or ventilation is installed. If necessary, plumbing is connected (e.g., if the office will have a toilet or kitchenette). A stable internet connection is also ensured as needed – wired or wireless (wi-fi, 4G/5G)
Interior decoration. Interior decoration is done according to previously agreed material requirements. These include wall, floor and ceiling materials.
Final works. A final inspection is carried out, i.e. tightness, operation of electrical networks.
If necessary, an outdoor path, terrace or protective elements can be installed as needed, such as: a rain drainage system.
