How to choose the right storage house?

In order to choose the right garden warehouse, it is important to consider the following aspects: size, purpose, materials and additional functions.

Determine the purpose of the storage room

For tools and garden supplies – compact, 2-6 m2 storage rooms are perfect for this purpose

For sports equipment or bicycles, a larger entrance, ventilation is required.

For firewood, building materials. In this case, larger structures with good air circulation are suitable.

For a garage extension or workshop, a 10+ m2 storage room with electrical installation is required

Choosing the right size

2-4 m2 (small) – ideal for tools, flower pots, watering hoses.

5-10 m2 (medium) – for bicycles, lawnmowers, larger equipment.

11+m2 (large) – this option is suitable as an additional work space, workshop or place for motorcycles.

It is advisable to choose a slightly larger option than you think you will need, because more items always appear.

Choice of materials

Wooden storage rooms – natural, aesthetic

Metal storage rooms – durable, weatherproof

Tin storage rooms – easy to assemble

Additional functions

You should decide what functions you want, as this affects the complexity of assembling the garden warehouse and, accordingly, the price.

Type of door and lock

Type of ventilation to protect against moisture and mold

Size of the roof slope angle

Windows and lighting

Location and base of the storage room

It is recommended to choose a higher location for the garden warehouse so that it does not get flooded during rain. It is also best to install a concrete base to make it stronger and more resistant to moisture.
